Born in Fairbanks, he's lived in Sitka, Wrangell, Juneau, and Haines, as well as spending some time outside in places like California, Oregon, New York, and even Texas. An avid writer since childhood, Zeiger has had one short story published in Shapeshifter! Magazine. His most recent work is a short story collection: Shy Ghosts Dancing: Dark Tales from Southeast Alaska.
Zeiger lives a mostly subsistence lifestyle with his wife and daughter near
Haines. He writes for two blogs and operates a freelance "micro-publishing" company and Web design firm.
