Bio: Vivian Faith Prescott is a fifth generation Alaskan. She was born and raised in Wrangell, Alaska and lives in Sitka, Alaska. Vivian is married with four children and many grandchildren. She is of Sáami and Suomalainen descent; her children are Tlingit of the T'akdéintaan clan/Snail House. Vivian is Co-Director of Raven's Blanket, a non-profit designed to perpetuate the cultural wellness and traditions of Indigenous peoples and promote artistic works by Alaskans. Vivian has an M.A. in Cross Cultural Studies with an emphasis in Indigenous Knowledge Systems and a Ph.D. in Cross Cultural Studies.
