Favorite Places in Alaska:
Alaska is large, so each area becomes my favorite place after visiting. But particular aspects of a place compel me to consider them favorite are: the people and the unique environmental features that hold a people to their place.
As a journalism graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage, I rooted myself firmly in Alaska. However through various travels and living in the Bay area for about 20 years gave me experience and a very broad perspective on our changing time. I've received a number of awards for videos on the Discovery Channel and PBS. My current focus on climate change and science are deliberate to help people understand the changes around us.
