Bio:
Heather has lived in Haines since 1984 with her husband and five children ( and now one grandchild). She writes a column for Woman's Day magazine and the obituaries for the Chilkat Valley News. She had a long-running column in the Anchorage Daily and also has contributed to NPR, the Christian Science Monitor, Country Living, and National Geographic Traveler. She has been on the faculty of the Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference and the North Words Writers' Symposium and will recieve her MFA in creative writing this fall from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
