Bio:
Tom Kizzia's non-fiction book set in the Wrangell Mountains, Pilgrim's
Wilderness, will be published by Crown in July, 2013. His first book, The Wake of the Unseen Object, was named one of the "Alaska 67" best non-fiction books by the Alaska Historical Society. He was a longtime reporter for the Anchorage Daily News. A graduate of Hampshire College and a former Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University, he started his career as editor of the Homer News. He has also fished commercially and built two cabins that are still standing.
