Andy Hall was born in Sitka and grew up in Mount McKinley National Park and Anchorage. He has worked as a writer, photographer and editor at several Alaska newspapers and is the former editor and publisher of Alaska magazine. He lives in Chugiak with his wife, Melissa DeVaughn Hall, son Roan, and daughter Reilly.
