All of it: rivers and mountains.
My husband and I raised three children in a remote homesite, accessible only by boat and dogsled. In 1996, I began writing as a freelance columnist for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner and in 2004, the Alaskana page for the Anchorage Daily News. My publishing company, Voice of Alaska Press, seeks to give expression to key individuals of Alaska history who've shaped us from before the gold rush to today, particularly preserving the stories of the Alaska Bush. As one who has lived in Alaska 45 years, I want to preserve the first hand stories of those who have shaped the Great Land.
