Melina Draper's poems have appeared in ZYZZYVA, Cimarron Review, Borderlands:A Texas Review, PALABRA: A Magazine of Chicano & Latino Literary Art, Salamander and other journals. Her book, Place of Origin~Lugar de Origen, co-authored with Argentine writer Elena Lafert, (Oyster River Press 2008) won the Latino Book Award for Best Bilingual Book of Poetry. A new collection of poems is forthcoming.She holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and lives in Fairbanks with her husband, the writer David Crouse and their two children.
